The Polar FS2C heart Rate Monitor Review
The Polar FS2C heart rate monitor…what to say? A whole lot of things actually! This brilliant piece of equipment is a flexible watch built only for those people who take their workouts seriously. The features of the Polar FS2C are unlike any heart rate monitor available today.
I bought the Polar FS2C some time back just after doing much research as I was forever annoyed with my previous ones. I have never been more happy with a purchase in my whole life!
Anyway, so enough about my life’s story, allow me to get down to informing you about why I love this precise model. Before that, allow me to describe its features:
Body Measurement Features
The Polar FS2C has some incredibly convenient body measurement features. You are able to measure the maximum and average heart rate of training; it’s also able to calculate your heart rate bpm (beat per minute).
Its HR-based target zones (with visual and audible alarm) enable you to outline your favoured target zones for a workout session. Your heart rate is monitored to help outline the correct intensity for you. Its visual and audible alarm will be triggered once you run out of preset zones.
A convenient feature comes in the form of the “Polar OwnCode” coded transmission feature. You are able to automatically lock in a code to transmit your heart rate to the training computer. This coding helps prevent interference from other training computers.
The manual target zone feature enables you to manually enter a target zone that you think is suitable for your training. This feature can also be set in beats per minute.
Other Hot Features
Here are some of my personal favorite features of the FS2C:
The “HeartTouch” – this is a button-free operation of the wrist unit. When this feature is on during your workouts, a whole bunch of various training data can be accessed without having to push any buttons. All you have to do is get your training computer close to your transmitter.
Many other awesome features are its date and weekday indicator, backlight, 50m water resistance, and 12/24-hour time display. The only flaw I can think of, at this point in time, is that you need to send it back to the factory/manufacturer once your battery dies.
All in all, I think this Heart Rate Monitor is one of the best I have ever owned and it has never caused any frustrations for me the entire time I have trained with it. If you are wanting to take your training to the next level then the Polar FS2C is definitely worth considering.
