Iraq, Iran,Russia, Immigration, Social Security, health insurance, Terrorism, Deficit, disease, Race Issues, Education,Gas(energy),The Religious Right, global warming, Weather(hurricanes, flooding),Education, political Reform—Please only intelligent comments!

1) The future of the U.S. economy. It combines trade deficit with China, outsourcing to China and India, immigration (I don’t think it’s a problem, but if we start enforcing minimum wages and crack on illegal immigration, even more jobs will be gone) and our own education system. We are becoming less and less competitive.

2) health threat. I sincerely hope the true probability of a pandemic is lower that the media talk, but in the case of an outbreak – we are not ready! We were relatively lucky with AIDS (was not air-borne), SARS (short incubation period helped to contain it), so far we are lucky with avian-flu (does not spring to humans that easy). Will we keep being lucky?

3) climate change and global warming. Things are getting out of control too fast. Quite soon (if not already) we won’t be able to bring the status quo back, we’ll have to adapt.
